Hey there!
I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). I'm also an associated faculty with the Center for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MInDS) at IIT Bombay.
I'm broadly interested in understanding, modeling and simulating the mechanics and thermodynamics of solids, at both the atomic and continuum scales. I also work on certain topics in Machine Learning to the extent that they are relevant for science. You can find more information about my research and teaching activities at IIT Bombay, and about the people in my research group, in the following pages. The blog section contains informal and quick thoughts on both my research and topics that I find interesting.

About me
I grew up in the small town of Pondicherry in the southern part of India. I love learning and playing with new ideas in mathematics, physics, and scientific computing. Outside academic research, I enjoy listening to Carnatic music (the classical music of south India), and occassionally play it on the fretless electric guitar. I also like hanging out with animals, especially dogs and cats. I currently have two cats, though I suspect one of them is actually a monkey in disguise.
